China Center for Law and Finance

China Center for Law and Finance was co-founded by Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance and China Academy of Financial Research (CAFR) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University together with King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm. In light of the development the law profession in China, the Center aims to employ cutting-edge financial concepts and technologies to conduct multi-dimensional, multi-layer and transboundary research of both finance and law as well as academics and practice. The Center is designed to provide independent and objective information and advice for policy makers and lawmakers, regulators, financial institutions and law practitioners, pushing forward the healthy development of financial and legal sectors in China. The Center has four missions:

• Conduct comprehensive research:
  In the context of the development of the law profession in China, employ cutting-edge financial concepts and technologies to conduct in-depth research in China financial law, pushing forward the healthy development of China financial sector.
• Cultivate high-end talents:
  Cultivate more high-end interdisciplinary talents in financial law, having finance practitioners know about laws and regulations while law practitioners financial practice.
• Serve professional institutes:
  Provide first-class research and consulting services for more financial and legal institutions.
• Set up an exchange platform:
  Integrate resources from home and abroad to build a high-end international exchange platform of resource sharing.
